The decision to join Strength United Gym will be one you will be forever grateful you made. From the moment you walk through our doors, your fitness path will be guided by knowledgable coaches and an invigorating atmosphere. Your personal goals will be assessed, and the path to fulfilling and exceeding stated goals and benchmarks will be set forth. The programming offered will be structured and varied. The workouts provided are developed with knowledge of varied fitness programs, specifically CrossFit, and of your personal goals. Our strength, conditioning and endurance programs are put forth with a purpose in mind. Gone are the days of randomly structured fitness programs with negative results. The coaching you will receive will be clear and concise. Specific ques and tones will be implemented to suit your workout and performance. The intensity within our gym will be high, but always safe. Not simply the coaching staff, but as a fitness community, we will push each other to truly, Find Your Strength.

What is CrossFit?

The definition of CrossFit is "Constantly varied, functional movements performed at High Intensity." To understand this better we can break it down:

CONSTANTLY VARIED — NOT doing the same routine over and over; always changing the workouts, never letting your body adapt. This is why CrossFit is great for getting results. Your body never gets used to anything so you never reach those plateaus.

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS —Movements that humans were built for and that are natural and safe. Movements we use in everyday life such as squatting, deadlifting, pulling yourself up, etc. This is NOT sitting in a machine that holds you in place while you execute a movement that isolates one muscle leaving your body unbalanced with useless strength. These are movements that promote neurological and hormonal responses, leading to better health, actual strength, actual core stability, agility, and flexibility.

HIGH INTENSITY — This is where many misconceptions about CrossFit originate. Intensity is the act of creating power (power = force multiplied by distance divided by time). Simply put, we are saying power/intensity is how much weight you can move over the longest distance in the shortest amount of time. Our goal is to create people who can run farther, move more weight, do more push-ups, flip a tire faster, all while of course maintaining proper form and technique.

CrossFit can be scaled to any body, any age, and any level of fitness. It’s fun, it’s safe, and best of all - it gets results in a positive community environment!
